WWI German Officer’s Pickelhaube Field Cover, Germany, circa 1914–1918. A rare and authentic World War I German officer’s spike helmet cover (Pickelhaubeüberzug), made of field-brown canvas with a stitched spike top. Designed to conceal the brass fittings of the Pickelhaube and reduce reflections in the field, these covers were standard issue for German officers and soldiers during the early years of the Great War. This example retains its original fabric and construction, showing age-appropriate wear, service stains. A fine and historically significant piece of World War I German militaria, representing the early war period.Dimensions: fitting standard officer Pickelhaube size.
