Rare WWII Nazi German cover for Waffen SS helmet, 1st type in oak leaf pattern camouflage. A helmet cover 1st type in oak leaf pattern camouflage. Reversible issue in cloth imprinted with spring and autumn colours the lower edge. A three blackened hooks on tension springs for affixing to the steel helmet both sides with sewn-in brown linen visor reinforcement. Cf. Beaver M. Camouflage Uniforms of the Waffen-SS pp. 119 - 136. An excellent collector’s item for military history enthusiasts or those interested in WWII memorabilia. Good condition
