Rare Ottoman Bichaq, Knife with Gold Koftgari, circa 1800. A beautiful and finely decorated Ottoman knife (bichaq), dating to around 1800. The piece features a straight blade housed in its original scabbard, both richly adorned with gold koftgari decoration in floral and geometric motifs - a hallmark of Ottoman craftsmanship from this period. The hilt, of characteristic curved form, is embellished with matching gold inlay, elegantly echoing the designs of the scabbard mounts. The steel blade shows signs of age and patina consistent with its history. An authentic and highly decorative example of late Ottoman weapon art, combining functionality with the refined aesthetics of Islamic metalwork. Condition: Good for its age, with original scabbard and minor wear. Length: approx. 27 cm.
