Description
Rare Italian Falchion, 16th Century blade. A fine and rare Italian falchion (storta) dating from the 16th century, featuring a broad single-edged blade with a slightly concave back and an elegant clipped point. The blade is decorated with an etched floral border on both sides, typical of North Italian Renaissance craftsmanship. The hilt consists of a tapering metal grip engraved with delicate scrollwork and terminating in a looped ring pommel. An authentic and visually impressive example of the Italian short sword tradition, combining functionality with ornamental refinement. Condition: Very good; signs of age and use, fine gray patina. Length: approx. 74 cm.
