Rare F Barbedienne Bronze Tazza with Medallion of Hadrian, France, Late 19th Century. Elegant bronze tazza by the renowned Parisian foundry F. Barbedienne, featuring silver and gilt patination and neo-classical design. The shallow bowl is centered by a finely cast medallion portrait of the Roman Emperor Hadrian, surrounded by a raised border. The twin handles are adorned with mythological masks, scrollwork, and foliage, combining classical inspiration with rich decorative artistry. Signed “F. Barbedienne” on the underside and marked with an “S”. A refined example of 19th-century French artistic bronze work, merging archaeological revival style with the superb craftsmanship of one of the era’s greatest foundries Diameter approx. 13 cm (without handles). The condition is good, Excellent original patina.
