Order of Saint Vladimir, 1st Class Breast Star, Russia. A rare Breast Star of the Order of Saint Vladimir, 1st Class, one of the highest decorations of the Russian Empire, awarded for outstanding civil and military merit. The eight-pointed star is made of silver with gilded rays - four gilded and four silver. At the center is a black enameled medallion with a golden cross bearing the initials “CPKB” (Saint Equal-to-the-Apostles Prince Vladimir). Around it, on a red enamel band, appears the motto in silver letters: “Benefit, Honour and Glory.” The reverse features a sturdy hinged pin and Russian silver hallmarks. A superb example of Russian craftsmanship, distinguished by its monumental form and refined detailing. Condition: Excellent. Diameter: approx. 9 cm.
