Description

Caucasian Dagger with Curved Blade, Russian Empire, circa 1900. A finely crafted small Caucasian dagger (kindjal) featuring a double-edged curved blade, housed in its original silver scabbard. Both the hilt and scabbard are richly adorned with traditional niello floral and geometric motifs. On the back of the scabbard there is the inscription "CAUCASUS". The scabbard bears clear assay and regional marks, including the Russian Imperial silver standard “84”. The decoration exhibits meticulous workmanship typical of the region's silversmiths, combining elegance with martial tradition. A rare example of late Imperial Russian Caucasian decorative metalwork, perfect for collectors of antique edged weapons, Russian Imperial artifacts, or Caucasian ethnographic items. Good condition. Length 20 cm.
