Description
Bronze Statuette "Girl Playing Blind Man’s Bluff" by A. Moreau, France, Late 19th – Early 20th Century. A charming patinated bronze sculpture depicting a young girl with a blindfold, arms outstretched in motion, as if searching for companions in a game of blind man’s bluff. Her dress and hair are rendered in fine detail, capturing the lightness and innocence of childhood. The figure stands atop a shaped marble base, signed A. Moreau on the bronze plinth. Attributed to one of the Moreau brothers — most likely Auguste Moreau (1834–1917) — renowned for their sentimental genre scenes and delicate portrayals of children and young women in bronze and spelter. A fine example of French Belle Époque sculpture, blending naturalism with poetic charm. Dimensions: Height 18 cm.
