Badge “Red Commander” of the Workers’ and Peasants’ Red Army (RKKA), issued 1918–1922. The badge features a bright red enamel five-pointed star with the golden hammer and plow emblem, symbolizing the unity of workers and peasants. It is set against a silvered wreath of oak and laurel leaves, crossed rifle and sword at the base. Fastening on reverse. One of the earliest Red Army distinctions, representing the revolutionary spirit and military valor of the Soviet state’s founding years. Good condition. Height 4.5 cm.
