A fine Persian or Indian karud, jade handle, gold koftgari, late 19th century. A fine example of a classic type, with jade grips and a well-wrought blade with a T-back and armor-piercing tip, a round medallion with Arabic inscriptions made of gold using the koftgari technique. Ferrule between the handle and blade with gold koftgari. In its velvet-covered wooden scabbard. Late 19th century. A fine collector's dagger from the Indo-Iranian region. 46 cm.
