Description
A fine pair of Percussion Pistols, Jose Maria Vidarte, Barrels with Silver Inlay, Eibar, Spain, 1844. The pistols has an octagon-to-round barrels, made of Damascus steel with traces of blueing. The barrels are signed by the gunsmith Jose Maria Vidarte, Eybar, 1844, the inscription made using silver inlay. The barrels has a caliber of 17mm.. The lock plate is engraved with the inscription Vidarte, Beautifully crafted hammers in the form of griffins. The steel fittings are decorated with engraving. The wooden stocks is decorated with checkering. The grips have a boxs for storing percussion caps, which are closed with a shell-shaped lids. Original wooden ramrods with bone tip. A beautiful collectible pair of percussion pistols in excellent condition. Length 36 cm.
