Description
А WWII Rare German Third Reich NPEA Student Dagger, Model 1935 by Karl Burgsmuller Berlin. This rare Model 1935 student dagger was issued to cadets attending the Nationalpolitische Erziehungsanstalt (NPEA), the elite national political training schools of the Third Reich, and stands as a significant artifact of the regime's specialized institutional regalia. The hilt is composed of a contoured, rich brown wooden grip inset with a national eagle emblem clutching a swastika, set between sleek, unadorned nickel-plated crossguards and a pommel cap. The straight, double-edged steel blade features a deep, crisp acid-etched institutional motto on the obverse reading "Mehr sein als scheinen" ("Be more than you appear"), while the reverse ricasso displays the distinct curved distributor marking of Karl Burgsmüller of Berlin. The dagger is paired with its original steel scabbard, which retains its correct, characteristic factory-applied olive drab enamel finish and is fitted with a polished mouth and vertical suspension stud. Measuring approximately 37 cm in total length. The item is in Excellent condition.
