This lot presents a German SS Police Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) sword from the Third Reich era, representing a formal sidearm traditionally worn during ceremonial and dress occasions. The hilt assembly features a gracefully contoured nickel-plated D-guard, a smooth pommel cap, and a ferrule detailed with traditional oak leaf motifs. The contoured, ribbed black grip is tightly wrapped with wire and prominently features a circular inset medallion displaying the SS Sig runes. The straight steel blade is forged with a single edge and a deep central fuller running along the flat. The sword is preserved within its original black-painted steel scabbard, which is mounted with nickel-plated upper and lower fittings. Measuring approximately 100 cm in overall length.
