Very Rare Muslim Zulfiqar-Style Dagger with Silver Kofgari Inscriptions, Ottoman Empire, Syria, 19th Century. A highly unusual and collectible 19th-century Muslim dagger inspired by the legendary Zulfiqar sword, characterized by its distinctive bifurcated blade. This Syrian piece features a robust double-edged blade elegantly divided into two points, richly decorated with silver kofgari inlay depicting intricate floral motifs and religious inscriptions in Arabic script. The scabbard is of velvet-covered wood with silver-decorated fittings, echoing the blade’s ornamental design. Such daggers served as ceremonial or devotional objects—often representing divine justice and spiritual strength in Muslim tradition.
