Description

Imperial Russian Banners and White Movement General Markov Regiment Badges by E. Mardini. This exceptional assembly of Russian historical memorabilia comprises two significant ceremonial banners and a group of rare regimental insignia. The collection features a black silk Flag of the Markov units with the white saltire of Saint Andrew and a vibrant yellow silk Imperial Standard meticulously printed with the double-headed eagle bearing the provincial shields. Complementing these textiles is a set of seven miniature breast badges for the 1st Officer Infantry General Markov Regiment, an elite formation of the Volunteer Army distinguished by their black and white iconography. The badges are fitted with gilded screw-back fasteners bearing the prestigious hallmark of the Parisian jeweler "E. Mardini, 12 Rue Chapon". The Black Banner measures approximately 52 by 43 centimeters. The yellow silk banner measures approximately 45 by 27 centimeters, while the badges are gauged at 18 millimeters. The item is in good condition.
