Rare, Large, Spanish Мiquelet Flintlock Pistol, engraved, gold inlay, 18th Century. An exceptional and richly ornamented Spanish flintlock pistol from the 18th century, showing masterful craftsmanship and elaborate decorative elements typical of the Spanish tradition. The pistol has an octagon-to-round barrel, hallmarked beneath a crown, fleurs-de-lis on three sides of the hallmark and an image of a cross above the top lily. The miquelet lock mechanism features finely chiseled details with floral and scroll engravings. A hook for attaching a pistol to the back of the lock. All metal fittings of the pistol are richly decorated with engravings and inlaid with gold. A wooden cleaning rod with a bone tip is included. The walnut stock is carved with elegant reliefs. This pistol combines both artistic elegance and historical value, representing a fine example of 18th-century Spanish military and courtly arms. A true collector’s item, rarely encountered in such complete and well-preserved condition. Length 44 cm. Caliber 20 mm.
