Description

Rare, Forged, Polish, Hussar lobster-tailed helmet with wings, 18th century. One-piece forged, sixfold ribbed skull, on the top round plate with loop. Pointed, riveted peak with a rolled edge, Skid plate nasally adjustable with a heart-shaped screw. Laterally attached, large cheek flaps, each with six auditory openings. Four iron plates protect the back of the neck. On the sides of the helmet there are metal plates in the shape of wings decorated with a perforated ornament in the shape of hearts. A beautiful Polish helmet in excellent condition. length 40 cm.
