Description

Rare Embroidered Sleeve Badge of the Military Tribunals, Russia, 1922–1923. An extremely rare embroidered sleeve insignia introduced by order of the Revolutionary Military Council (RVSR) No. 2185 of September 18, 1922 for the Revolutionary Military Tribunals (RVT). Following their reorganization by order No. 649 of March 19, 1923, signed by E. M. Sklyansky and V. V. Ulrich, these tribunals became known as Military Tribunals of the fronts, districts, armies, and corps, giving rise to the “B T” (Military Tribunals) variant of the insignia. The badge is shield-shaped, bordered in red cloth, and richly hand-embroidered in gold and silver thread with a red star, sunburst rays, oak and laurel branches, and the letters “B T”. The reverse retains the original early stitching. Good condition. Height 9 cm.
