Rare original edition of Méthode d’Ollendorff – Méthode française à l’usage des Russes, a comprehensive 19th-century French language instructional book tailored for Russian speakers. It is numbered 595 and signed by the author. Authored by Dr. G.G. Ollendorff and published in 1861 in Leipzig and Paris by F.A. Brockhaus and Hachette, this work presents a complete six-month curriculum for mastering reading, writing, and conversational French. The book is printed in three languages—French, Russian, and English—with illustrative lessons, vocabulary, and grammatical explanations. Bound in original embossed cloth with gilt titles in French on the front cover and spine, and extensive featuring typographic content, including Russian and Latin alphabets, as well as period annotations and signatures on the endpapers dated 1876.
