Description
German short hunting sword, P D Luneschloss, Solingen, Germany, second quarter of the 19th century. A straight, powerful blade with two fullers on each side. Very high quality decorated with etching and gilding. At the base of the blade there are inscriptions, on one side “P D L”, on the other “Solingen”. Fine cast bronze hilt with hunting scenes. Brown leather sheath with brass fittings. Damage to the skin on the sheath. Very beautiful, collectible item.
