Description

Extra quality hunting sword, engraving, gilding, France, 18th century. Straight, double-edged blade is decorated on both sides with engraved hunting scenes. Steel, figured hilt is richly decorated with volumetric engraving and gold, openwork handle is decorated with plant ornament. Green leather scabbard has magnificent steel fittings, decorated in the style of the handle. Very rare collectible hunting sword in excellent condition. Length 77 cm. See the same in Turin's Royal Armory
