Description

An extra rare, large, ornate safe, Nuremberg armor smiths, Germany 16th century. A forged safe with an exquisite locking mechanism on the inside of the lid, which is decorated with ornaments. The outside of the chest is richly decorated with gilded ornaments typical of the Nuremberg armor smiths. On the top of the lid is a handle and a hole for a key. On the bottom there are four legs. The inside of the safe is lined with blue velvet. The key to the lock is included. A wonderful late medieval collectible in excellent condition. Dimensions 13x24x12.5
