A richly decorated, large ceremonial dagger from 19th-century France. The straight, diamond-shaped blade with a pointed tip is decorated with a floral pattern created using the etching technique. The hilt is made of gilded bronze and adorned with mother-of-pearl and stones or glass inlays simulating precious stones. The wooden scabbard is adorned with a carved, geometric pattern. The beautifully crafted gilded bronze fittings are adorned with stones or glass inlays simulating precious stones. This fine collector's item is in excellent condition. Length: 36 cm.
