The substantial double-edged steel blade features a prominent central ridge and is clearly etched with the prestigious retailer’s mark of John Pound & Co., located at 81, 82, & 83 Leadenhall Street, London, a firm also renowned for luxury leather goods and campaign equipment. The hilt is characterized by a textured, diamond-checkered ebony grip. A robust oval metal crossguard provides a functional transition between the grip and the formidable blade. The weapon is accompanied by its original heavy-duty brown leather scabbard, which retains its integrated belt frog and security strap, reflecting the practical yet elegant design typical of British craftsmanship from this era.
