Description
A Polish lobster-tailed helmet, mid-17th century. One-piece forged blackened, sixfold ribbed skull, on the top round plate with loop. Pointed, riveted peak with a rolled edge, maker's mark on peak, Skid plate nasally adjustable with a heart-shaped screw. Laterally attached, large cheek flaps, each with six auditory openings. Four iron plates protect the back of the neck. The weight of the helmet is 1.75kg. A beautiful helmet in excellent condition. length 32 cm.
