Description
A Percussion Beaumont-Adams Patent Double-Action Revolver, No. 41273, England, Circa 1860. This fine mid-19th-century percussion Beaumont-Adams patent double-action revolver, produced by the renowned gunmaker Robert Adams, dates to approximately 1860. It features an octagonal sighted barrel of 8 mm caliber and a five-shot cylinder. The solid steel frame is elegantly engraved with 'Adams Patent No. 41273' on the right side and displays characteristic border engraving throughout the metalwork. The piece is equipped with a safety-stop, an arbor-pin with a threaded catch, a rammer, and a plain trigger-guard. The ovoidal butt-cap complements the finely checkered, rounded figured walnut grip, which provides both a secure hold and a refined aesthetic finish. In addition to the primary patent numbering on the frame, the cylinder face is marked with the number 160. The total length of the revolver measures approximately 29 cm. The item is in good condition.
