The heavy steel blade is characterized by its broad, cleaver-like profile and slightly curved edge, engineered for both entrenching and jungle clearing. The hilt is composed of two robust wooden grip scales secured by three prominent brass rivets, featuring a contoured pommel to ensure a secure grip during use. Struck near the base of the blade is a small crescent-shaped inspector's mark, typical of the production variations found in the 1930s.
