A Dagger "KAMA" Russian Empire, Georgia, circa 1900, silver and niello, inscription in Georgian. This exceptional example of a Caucasian kindjal reflects the esteemed craftsmanship of the Georgian tradition, featuring a substantial double-edged steel blade with a deep central fullers and inlaid maker's marks at the fort. The hilt is expertly fashioned from dark natural horn, secured by silver rivets with decorative floral-form bosses. The accompanying scabbard is encased in black leather and adorned with an ornate silver fittings, both extensively decorated with intricate niello scrollwork, foliate motifs, and stippled geometric patterns. Of significant historical interest is the reverse of the scabbard's locket, which bears a prominent inscription in Georgian script, likely identifying the original owner or craftsman of this prestigious sidearm. Measuring approximately 58 cm in total length, the weapon represents a blend of functional utility and high-status ornamentation common among the regional nobility and military officers of the Imperial era.
